Independent distribution works exactly where counterfeit risk concentrates — obsolete, end-of-life, and allocated parts sourced on the open market. That's not a reason to avoid the open market. It's the reason quality can't be a department here: it's the operating system. Every shipment we receive is inspected against known-good references before anything ships under our name.
Quality claims are cheap. Ours are certified by third parties, audited on a schedule, and documented in procedures you can read.
Our quality management system is certified by NQA, an ANAB-accredited registrar, and subject to third-party surveillance audits. Current certification is valid through 2027.
Our electrostatic-discharge program is built to ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021 — the benchmark certified facilities operate under — covering handling, packaging, workstations, and storage from the receiving dock to the outbound box.
A documented plan covering avoidance, detection, mitigation, and disposition of fraudulent and counterfeit parts — developed in alignment with the counterfeit-avoidance requirements of AS5553 and AS6081, and audited as part of our QMS. Read the plan →
No single test catches every counterfeit — recycled, remarked, and wrong-die parts each defeat a different screen. So we layer them: the first screens run in-house on every incoming shipment, and when a part calls for laboratory analysis, we escalate to accredited independent test labs — unbiased, instrumented, and directed by our quality team. We don't grade our own homework on the hard calls; that's a feature, not a gap.
Paperwork verified against the purchase order and the intended supplier; lot and date codes checked against traceability records and supplier history.
Surface inspection against known-good references — sanding and blacktop evidence, re-tinned leads, mold texture, font and logo deviations.
Solvent testing lifts fresh remarking ink; pin-print and signature comparison checks the physical fingerprints of genuine production.
X-ray fluorescence verifies lead-finish alloys and RoHS claims; FTIR spectroscopy fingerprints package compounds and exposes blacktop coatings — performed by accredited labs to our protocol.
Internal imaging of die, bond wires, and lead frames — and destructive decapsulation on samples when the lot warrants ground truth — run through our accredited lab network.
Lab-performed electrical verification to the datasheet, and blank-check of programmable devices — recycled parts often arrive carrying someone else's firmware.
SINCE 07/28/1998ERAI operates the world's largest database of suspect-counterfeit and nonconforming parts. Our buyers and quality team screen part numbers, lots, and suppliers against it before purchase — so risk is filtered out at the buy, not discovered at your dock. Membership is verifiable live on the homepage.
PARTICIPANT & REPORTERWe screen Government-Industry Data Exchange Program alerts as sourcing intelligence, and when a counterfeit is confirmed, our Quality Control Department reports it through GIDEP — protecting the rest of the supply chain the way we'd want to be protected.
Every shipment leaves with a Certificate of Conformance on the packing list. Ours is specified — these are the data elements it carries:
Name and address of RH Electronics and the customer, plus your purchase-order number.
Manufacturer's name and part number — and your customer part number when known and required, cross-linked.
Quantity and country of origin — plus date code and lot code when provided by the manufacturer and required by the customer.
Ship date, the distributor statement of conformance, and the signature of the responsible party.
Manufacturer-provided records of origin maintained as received; extended retention beyond two years available by agreement when your contracts require it.
Only product originally shipped by RH Electronics is accepted back; returns are verified against traceability records or scrapped — never blindly restocked. Suspect parts are quarantined for five years and never re-enter the supply chain.
Inventory areas are card-access controlled and all visitors are escorted — physical security written into the quality system, not left to habit.
ANSI/ESD S20.20-2021 boundary throughout; moisture-sensitive devices baked, dry-packed with indicators, and nitrogen-stored for the long haul.
Customer returns and customer-owned stock are segregated, never commingled with new inventory, with every movement traceable in the system.
