// Last-Time-Buy

Last-Time-Buy & Post-EOL Support.

A last-time-buy notice forces a hard call: forecast every part you'll need for the rest of a product's life, in one order, or scramble later on the secondary market. Get the quantity wrong and you're either sitting on dead stock or hunting discontinued parts under pressure. RH Electronics helps both before and after the LTB date — and we're the safety net when the window has already closed.

Where We Help With LTB

  • Bridge to redesign — cover production while a replacement part is qualified, without over-committing capital to a final buy
  • Quantity you under-forecast — when the LTB order ran short, we source the difference from remaining worldwide stock
  • Missed the window entirely — the LTB date passed and the channel is empty; locating the part is our specialty
  • Spread the risk — instead of warehousing a decade of inventory, source in stages as you need it
  • Sustainment & repair — keep fielded systems running long after the part left production

Missed the LTB Window?

It happens constantly — a forecast comes up short, a program extends, or an LTB notice slips through. Once the manufacturer stops producing and the authorized channel sells through, the part only exists on the secondary market. That's where an independent distributor with a worldwide network earns its keep: we locate remaining stock, authenticate it, and ship it with traceability — so a missed deadline doesn't become a line-down.

What is a last-time-buy (LTB)?
A last-time-buy is the final order a manufacturer accepts before a part goes end-of-life. After the LTB date the part is no longer produced and the authorized channel sells through remaining stock. Buyers must forecast enough to cover demand until redesign — or source from the secondary market afterward.
Can you source a part after the LTB window has closed?
Yes — locating discontinued parts after the last-time-buy window is a core specialty. We reach remaining worldwide stock and inspect every shipment on receipt under our ISO 9001:2015 quality system.
How do you verify authenticity of post-production stock?
Every shipment is inspected on receipt, and we're an ERAI member and GIDEP participant. Higher-risk requirements escalate to accredited independent labs for XRF, decapsulation, X-ray, and electrical testing, with full traceability documentation.
